Thames & Coromandel Trip - Journal Pages
Loving these short trips away!

Some text from page:
"Once we arrived at Thames we stopped for a break and spotted the Thames mine museum and School of mines. Little did we know we were about to be taken on a journey of NZ History! John was a very informative guide, obviously passionate about Thames history which seemed intertwined with his own family history. While I started off hesitant I very quickly started learning the stories, looking at the many photosand learning about gold making and mining!!

Who knew there was a School of mines that teaches adults a 100 years ago how to mine. I took over 350photos during our visit to Thames - Very inspired to create art using Thames history as inspiration."

Bead shop in the Coromandel township allowed me to take photos of their gorgeous reflective beads. Yes, I couldn't help but buy a few too! Right hand page I used the Coromandel Holiday Park brochure to make a pocket which holds a large fold out map of the area.
