What they say about being particularly bad when an adult gets chickenpox is true. First hand knowledge right here! arggh. Its not much consonance when the doctor says there is not much they can do for you - ride it out and take a few photos. Well I did take photos and they are HIDDEN in the pocket.
Two weeks out of action, I was ready to see the world again! Had a lovely dinner at
Tanuki's Cave (MUST do a review on that place) and then dessert at
Onion Johnny in Takapuna.

A good night!
Then on Sunday...
Blokarting probably sounds like I'm overdoing it for a girl who's been laid up. But actually I just sat there. Les did all the tricky stuff. So he had been dying to show me this contraption of his. It turned out to be pretty cool. I poooosssibly took it for granted how fast we were going (squeezed into a seat for one) when I decided it would be a great idea to pull out my phone and send a pic while we were flying along to Mum.
Since the weather was good and the tides still right, I nipped back and picked up the kids so they could have a go. Brooklyn (usually the scaredy one) was "faster faster!", Oliver loved it and just held on quietly. 55km is pretty fast I thought for two people on what is really a go-cart with a sail!
