Morning sketch - Journal page
This is the view looking west across the harbour estuary at the Manuka Road boat ramp. Interestingly there is a sign there referring to it as Hells Creeks - I never knew that. I pre-wash paints across my journal pages so it was quite delightful to find the highlight in the middle was in a complimentary spot of my sketch! Actually find that happens all the time. Makes me love pre-washed backgrounds even more.

What a fabulous view, does the name Hells bay refer to an incidence or weather condition? It looks too lovely to have that name. I like the way your wash on the page has highlighted the area. It also takes away that daunting blank white paper fear. Thanks for commenting on my blog too.

Thanks Ro, I never knew it was called that until I noticed the sign when sketching. I'll have to do a little research and find out. Yes my pre-washed pages tend to attract a bit of attention out in about. Its quite a cool conversation starter actually!
Thanks for stopping by :)

That stretch of water is Hellyer's creek - maybe someone altered the sign?
